Thorski Design, LLC is an aerospace engineering consulting company located in Dulles, Virginia. Since incorporating in 2005 we have been providing a wide variety of engineering and technical services to commercial and government customers in the area.
Eric Thorstenson, our president and principal engineer, has over twenty years experience in mechanical engineering and other disciplines supporting a variety of aerospace and military development contracts.
For over ten years he acted as mechanical system lead on multiple spacecraft missions, including Acrimsat, QuikTOMS, and FORMOSAT-3 (ROCSAT-3). Recently, he has been an integral part of the Glory mechanical design and test team.
His areas of expertise include spacecraft mechanical design, mechanisms and deployables, integration and test, mass properties, and structural analysis. He also has an extensive background in custom and commercial software development, for both general purpose computing platforms and embedded control and instrumentation systems.
