SatMassTM uses a very flexible algorithm for computing an optimum balancing solution. Unlike other tools that require symmetry or other “textbook” simplifications, SatMassTM lets you define your balance problem in real-world parameters – the locations at which you can physically place ballast mass, and what your tolerances are on the balanced properties.
You can specify any number of ballast locations anywhere in your model. No assumptions are made requiring symmetry, balance planes, or any other limitation on your ballast locations. You can also specify any combination of constraints on CM location or products of inertia, as well as a tolerance on each of those constraints. A powerful numeric solver ensures quick and optimal results.
